<div dir="ltr"><font size="4">The Student Directory is put together by the PTO.  When you join the PTO and pay the membership dues ($20), you will receive the Directory.  In order to become a PTO member, you need to fill out and send the Directory and Membership Forms along with the membership dues. </font></div>

<div dir="ltr"><font size="4">Please Note:  Directories were delivered to your child in <u>Homeroom</u> in <u>early October</u>.  </font></div>
<div dir="ltr"><font size="4">New Policy:  Unless you are a new WAMS family or you have changes to your previous information, you do not have to complete another directory form.  The new policy allows us to roll over information from the prior year.  6th grade information will be transferred from existing 5th grade directories.  Once the membership due date (September 22nd) has passed, extra directories will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.</font></div>

<p style="MARGIN:0in 0in 10pt"><font face="verdana,sans-serif" size="4">At William Annin, a group of teachers compose a team <span>which teaches and works with a common group of students</span>. Currently, each grade level has three teams of teachers, each consisting of five academic teachers, a school counselor, and special education teachers. The teams are referred to as “gold, blue, or green” and have approximately 150 students each.<span>  </span>The teams allow for a large grade level of students to be part of a smaller, cohesive group of students who share the same academic classes and teachers. These teachers meet regularly during a common team meeting time to plan curriculum and discuss the needs and progress of their students. <li><font face="verdana,sans-serif" size="4">The PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) meetings are made up of a group of parent volunteers who meet with the Principal on the third Wednesday of each month to discuss concerns that arise in the WAMS community.  A PAC representative from your child's grade level can be contacted with parent concerns and/or questions.  All concerns are kept strictly anonymous and your reply will be communicated back to you via your selected PAC member.</font></li>

<div><font face="Verdana" size="4"><strong><u>Buying Lunch</u></strong></font></div>
<ul>
<li><font face="Verdana" size="4">If your child is an existing student in the district, she/he should already have an account set up through Nutri-Kids.  The account number will be the same as last year.  </font></li>
<li><font face="Verdana" size="4">If you are new to the school district, please log onto MyNutrikids.com to set up your child's account.  The student's ID number is the number that is given when they checkout.  Menus are posted online.  </font></li>
<li><font face="Verdana" size="4">It is recommended that you set up a notification with Nutri-kids which will inform you when your child's account balance is getting low.  This will help make sure your child's account does not run out of money.  If your child's account runs out of money, the person at the cash register will ask the student to set aside their food and go to the main office to call home and get a pass before they will be permitted to eat their food.</font></li>
<li><font face="Verdana" size="4">Aid is available to families who need help with lunch purchases.</font></li></ul>
<div><font face="Verdana" size="4"><strong><u>Delayed Lunch</u></strong></font></div>
<ul>
<li><font face="verdana,sans-serif" size="4">Once a week students will be required to go to a classroom for the first half of lunch where they can work on homework.  This avoids overcrowding in the cafeteria.</font></li></ul>
<div><font face="Verdana" size="4"><strong><u>Study Hall</u></strong></font></div>

<li><font face="Verdana" size="4">Once a week students in 6th and 7th grades will be required to leave lunch and go to study hall for the second half of their lunch period where they can work on homework.  This too addresses overcrowding.  </font></li>
<li><font face="Verdana" size="4">It is recommended that students bring lunch on days of delayed lunch and study hall at least in the beginning of the year so that they have enough time to eat.  Sometimes the lines do get long.</font></li></ul>

Appointments to PAC continue throughout the three middle school years. Four, sixth grade representatives are appointed each year. <li><span style="LINE-HEIGHT:115%;FONT-FAMILY:Cambria"><font face="verdana,sans-serif" size="4">Please send a note indicating when you will pick up your child.  They will be given a pass to leave at the designated time.  You will meet your child in the office and sign them out.  They cannot leave the building alone.  If it is an unscheduled / emergency appointment, it is best to call the office first and let them know when you will need to pick up your child.</font></span></li></ul>
